Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Industrials and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA), which rose 7.73% or 6.68 points to trade at 93.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) added 4.46% or 0.79 points to end at 18.50 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) was up 3.30% or 1.670 points to 52.290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca Cola Femsa SAB De CV (MX:KOFL), which fell 2.38% or 2.98 points to trade at 122.18 at the close. Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) declined 1.57% or 1.22 points to end at 76.72 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was down 1.34% or 0.370 points to 27.150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 171 to 103 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.07% or 0.90 to $1243.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.27% or 1.20 to hit $51.69 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.14% or 1.32 to trade at $60.24 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.72% to 20.3591, while EUR/MXN fell 0.39% to 23.1709.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 96.705.
