Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.40% or 3.52 points to trade at 106.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) added 1.98% or 2.48 points to end at 128.02 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was up 1.79% or 0.39 points to 22.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which fell 1.76% or 0.660 points to trade at 36.920 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 1.72% or 0.400 points to end at 22.870 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) was down 1.62% or 13.56 points to 823.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 173 to 99 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.51 to $1274.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.36% or 0.18 to hit $50.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.29 to trade at $55.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.07% to 18.2180, while EUR/MXN rose 0.08% to 21.4070.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.40.
