Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 2.61%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 1.96% or 750 points to trade at 39000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) fell 0.13% or 30 points to end at 23780 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was down 0.14% or 2 points to 1469 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which fell 5.17% or 498 points to trade at 9138 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 5.05% or 72 points to end at 1355 and International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) was down 4.68% or 1700 points to 34600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 335 to 62 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 5.56% or 2.20 to $37.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.81% or 2.00 to hit $39.61 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.49% or 28.55 to trade at $1883.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.64% to 3.4032, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 4.0019.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 93.398.
