Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.55% or 1,720.00 points to trade at 69,290.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 1.81% or 117.00 points to end at 6,567.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 1.29% or 370.00 points to 29,120.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which fell 6.09% or 890.00 points to trade at 13,720.00 at the close. Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) declined 5.24% or 1,990.00 points to end at 36,010.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was down 4.99% or 237.00 points to 4,513.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 313 to 131 and 95 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.81% or 117.00 to 6,567.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.98% or 0.76 to $77.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.69% or 0.56 to hit $80.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 18.70 to trade at $2,491.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.59% to 3.79, while EUR/ILS rose 0.28% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 104.09.
