Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 2.75% or 63.00 points to trade at 2,350.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 2.70% or 2,000.00 points to end at 76,000.00 and Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) was up 1.94% or 150.00 points to 7,870.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 4.90% or 98.00 points to trade at 1,900.00 at the close. Leumi (TASE:LUMI) declined 3.72% or 105.00 points to end at 2,720.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 3.52% or 3,170.00 points to 86,790.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 249 to 216 and 79 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.90% or 98.00 to 1,900.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.48% or 1.19 to $81.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.20% or 1.02 to hit $85.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 9.25 to trade at $1,989.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.89, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.88.
