Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 2.44% or 115 points to trade at 4820 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 2.33% or 31 points to end at 1360 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 1.91% or 53 points to 2828 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 4.95% or 18.6 points to trade at 357.4 at the close. International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) declined 3.03% or 1140 points to end at 36480 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was down 2.98% or 57 points to 1858.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 303 to 100 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.84% or 0.84 to $44.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.89% or 0.91 to hit $47.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 5.05 to trade at $1783.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.3058, while EUR/ILS fell 0.40% to 3.9492.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 91.898.
