Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.05% or 5.0 points to trade at 249.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 0.73% or 1.3 points to end at 179.9 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was up 0.57% or 0.2 points to 35.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which fell 2.26% or 1170 points to trade at 50500 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.02% or 109 points to end at 5286 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 1.76% or 310 points to 17310.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 285 to 112 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.13% or 0.08 to $61.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $70.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1282.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.19% to 3.5884, while EUR/ILS rose 0.19% to 4.0193.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.300.
