Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 1.48% or 58.00 points to trade at 3,989.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 1.39% or 99.00 points to end at 7,199.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 1.17% or 130.00 points to 11,200.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which fell 4.31% or 303.00 points to trade at 6,726.00 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 2.56% or 3,950.00 points to end at 150,530.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was down 2.55% or 155.00 points to 5,920.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 289 to 190 and 58 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.45% or 2.43 to $72.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.23% or 2.45 to hit $78.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.52% or 31.50 to trade at $2,041.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.04% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 102.39.
