Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 1.55% or 290 points to trade at 19060 at the close. Meanwhile, Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 1.50% or 500 points to end at 33780 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.11% or 160 points to 14550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Partner (TA:PTNR), which fell 3.42% or 61 points to trade at 1721 at the close. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 2.47% or 66 points to end at 2601 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was down 2.28% or 146 points to 6244.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 295 to 98 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.56% or 0.35 to $62.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.29% or 0.19 to hit $66.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 7.00 to trade at $1319.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.36% to 3.4701, while EUR/ILS rose 0.71% to 4.2796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 89.45.
