Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 5.25% or 115 points to trade at 2306 at the close. Meanwhile, Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) added 3.24% or 2.0 points to end at 63.8 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) was up 2.36% or 39 points to 1691 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 3.98% or 92 points to trade at 2222 at the close. Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL) declined 3.95% or 630 points to end at 15310 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 3.46% or 1050 points to 29310.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 239 to 150 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.02% or 0.42 to $40.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.00% or 0.44 to hit $43.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 13.15 to trade at $1800.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.63% to 3.4476, while EUR/ILS rose 0.47% to 3.9276.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 96.183.
