Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which rose 2.45% or 32.00 points to trade at 1,337.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 1.86% or 125.00 points to end at 6,833.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was up 1.61% or 14.00 points to 898.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 2.59% or 2,310.00 points to trade at 86,900.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 2.58% or 47.00 points to end at 1,773.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 2.19% or 250.00 points to 11,150.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 249 to 210 and 77 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.81% or 1.44 to $81.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.48% or 1.24 to hit $85.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 19.15 to trade at $2,161.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.75% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 102.97.
