Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG), which rose 1.93% or 920 points to trade at 48480 at the close. Meanwhile, Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) added 1.67% or 3400 points to end at 207450 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 1.62% or 1430 points to 89900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 3.16% or 90 points to trade at 2762 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 2.84% or 3540 points to end at 121100 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 2.36% or 31 points to 1281.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 313 to 176 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.02% or 2.81 to $67.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.81% or 2.79 to hit $70.43 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 7.35 to trade at $1777.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.18% to 3.1629, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 3.5679.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 96.340.
