Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.75% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp), which rose 3.07% or 28 points to trade at 940 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 2.13% or 1030 points to end at 49300 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 1.67% or 34 points to 2076 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 3.41% or 86 points to trade at 2435 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 3.35% or 219 points to end at 6313 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 2.69% or 17 points to 625.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 232 to 144 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to all time lows; losing 2.69% or 17 to 625.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.73% or 0.95 to $55.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.69% or 1.00 to hit $60.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 5.35 to trade at $1546.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.5262, while EUR/ILS rose 0.03% to 3.9062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 98.102.
