Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.84% or 2,760.00 points to trade at 100,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 0.56% or 44.00 points to end at 7,917.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 0.40% or 100.00 points to 25,160.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 3.00% or 6,150.00 points to trade at 198,850.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 2.69% or 73.00 points to end at 2,645.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was down 2.57% or 157.00 points to 5,943.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 357 to 114 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) rose to all time highs; rising 2.84% or 2,760.00 to 100,000.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.23% or 0.18 to hit $76.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 15.41 to trade at $2,680.81 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.58% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 108.99.
