Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 3.24% or 12.7 points to trade at 404.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) added 2.61% or 131 points to end at 5150 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 2.55% or 480 points to 19270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which fell 5.10% or 540 points to trade at 10050 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 4.89% or 820 points to end at 15960 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 4.09% or 46 points to 1080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 231 to 157 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.24% or 12.7 to 404.2.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.32% or 0.93 to $41.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.84% or 1.20 to hit $43.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.02% or 20.15 to trade at $1950.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.4257, while EUR/ILS rose 0.30% to 4.0507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.093.
