Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which rose 5.00% or 59.00 points to trade at 1,240.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TASE:MLSR) added 4.07% or 920.00 points to end at 23,530.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 3.95% or 107.00 points to 2,818.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN), which fell 5.48% or 610.00 points to trade at 10,530.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 3.24% or 268.00 points to end at 8,006.00 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was down 2.86% or 83.00 points to 2,817.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 275 to 192 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.36% or 0.26 to $71.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.41% or 0.31 to hit $75.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 3.95 to trade at $1,977.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 3.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 103.11.
