Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which rose 4.02% or 2300 points to trade at 59500 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 2.23% or 1210 points to end at 55500 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 2.17% or 93.00 points to 4387.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 5.83% or 195 points to trade at 3150 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.82% or 30 points to end at 1616 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 1.77% or 310 points to 17210.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 207 to 181 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.02% or 1.85 to $63.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.64% or 2.41 to hit $68.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.77% or 27.05 to trade at $1555.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.04% to 3.4811, while EUR/ILS rose 0.92% to 3.8845.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.602.
