Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Biomed and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which rose 6.37% or 131 points to trade at 2187 at the close. Meanwhile, Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) added 4.26% or 1880.0 points to end at 46020.0 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was up 3.86% or 54 points to 1454 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which fell 8.17% or 1590 points to trade at 17880 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) declined 6.52% or 468 points to end at 6710 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was down 4.44% or 118 points to 2540.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 199 to 164 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.17% or 1590 to 17880. Shares in Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) rose to all time highs; up 4.26% or 1880.0 to 46020.0.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.54% or 1.76 to $67.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.36% or 1.76 to hit $72.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1218.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.6778, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 4.2657.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.01.
