Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 2.77% or 70.00 points to trade at 2,601.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT) added 2.45% or 151.00 points to end at 6,316.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was up 2.25% or 135.00 points to 6,125.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 3.68% or 84.00 points to trade at 2,196.00 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 3.48% or 93.00 points to end at 2,577.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 2.87% or 3,100.00 points to 105,100.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 265 to 200 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.68% or 84.00 to 2,196.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.58% or 0.42 to hit $72.75 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 20.05 to trade at $2,057.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.49% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 4.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 101.08.
