Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which rose 3.82% or 3050 points to trade at 82880 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) added 2.03% or 310 points to end at 15600 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 1.79% or 690 points to 39200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 5.04% or 980 points to trade at 18480 at the close. Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) declined 4.33% or 870 points to end at 19210 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was down 3.36% or 570 points to 16380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 220 to 194 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.21% or 0.10 to $47.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $50.76 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 4.60 to trade at $1859.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.00% to 3.2511, while EUR/ILS rose 0.20% to 3.9583.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 90.297.
