Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.91% or 65 points to trade at 1389 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.05% or 135 points to end at 6705 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.54% or 250 points to 16500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT), which fell 3.42% or 95 points to trade at 2685 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.96% or 2940 points to end at 96450 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL) was down 2.17% or 870 points to 39310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 191 to 181 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.69% or 0.89 to $51.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.83% or 1.13 to hit $60.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1287.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.6729, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.2124.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 95.252.
