Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 18.13% or 422 points to trade at 2750 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 3.57% or 13.5 points to end at 391.5 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was up 2.18% or 24 points to 1126 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 7.21% or 1460 points to trade at 18790 at the close. Matrix (TASE:MTRX) declined 2.84% or 236 points to end at 8074 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was down 2.50% or 1100 points to 42900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 202 to 191 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.21% or 1460 to 18790. Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.57% or 13.5 to 391.5.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 4.36% or 1.67 to $39.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.55% or 1.44 to hit $41.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 4.40 to trade at $1970.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.15% to 3.4188, while EUR/ILS fell 0.31% to 4.0427.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.060.
