Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.66% or 900 points to trade at 34700 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 2.57% or 500 points to end at 19940 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.54% or 18 points to 1184 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which fell 3.65% or 18.5 points to trade at 489.0 at the close. Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) declined 2.52% or 430 points to end at 16620 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was down 2.02% or 36 points to 1747.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 194 to 192 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.49% or 1.58 to $65.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.67% or 1.80 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 12.90 to trade at $1324.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.36% to 3.4924, while EUR/ILS rose 0.58% to 4.2843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 89.78.
