Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.29% or 67 points to trade at 2103 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.80% or 330 points to end at 18680 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 1.54% or 750 points to 49310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which fell 2.77% or 245 points to trade at 8601 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 1.28% or 29 points to end at 2232 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was down 1.17% or 39 points to 3285.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 269 to 126 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.28% or 0.95 to $73.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.28% or 1.80 to hit $77.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.00 to trade at $1249.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.29% to 3.6409, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.2674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 94.03.
