Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 2.62% or 1,280.00 points to trade at 50,200.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) added 1.17% or 270.00 points to end at 23,420.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 1.00% or 1,520.00 points to 153,680.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Harel (TASE:HARL), which fell 1.63% or 47.00 points to trade at 2,838.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) declined 1.59% or 91.00 points to end at 5,621.00 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TASE:FIBI) was down 1.34% or 200.00 points to 14,780.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 302 to 167 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nova (TASE:NVMI) rose to all time highs; rising 2.62% or 1,280.00 to 50,200.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.12% or 0.83 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.17% or 0.93 to hit $78.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 5.80 to trade at $2,087.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.50% to 3.63, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 4.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.50.
