Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which rose 3.20% or 1320 points to trade at 42550 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TA:LPSN) added 2.03% or 187 points to end at 9392 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.28% or 220 points to 17440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which fell 2.46% or 146 points to trade at 5790 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.66% or 17 points to end at 1006 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was down 1.16% or 28 points to 2387.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 200 to 175 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in Melisron (TA:MLSR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.28% or 220 to 17440.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $53.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.42% or 0.27 to hit $63.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1312.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.20% to 3.6547, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 4.1203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.025.
