Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT), which rose 2.30% or 57 points to trade at 2531 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) added 2.07% or 550 points to end at 27120 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 1.95% or 210 points to 10980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 7.52% or 58 points to trade at 708 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 3.52% or 254 points to end at 6966 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 3.33% or 82 points to 2380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 237 to 153 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.50% or 0.79 to $53.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.98% or 0.57 to hit $58.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 11.35 to trade at $1501.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.5089, while EUR/ILS rose 0.68% to 3.8667.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 98.363.
