Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 2.81% or 75 points to trade at 2748 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 2.55% or 13.8 points to end at 555.5 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 2.39% or 5500 points to 235500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which fell 2.70% or 57 points to trade at 2053 at the close. Leumi (TASE:LUMI) declined 1.54% or 52 points to end at 3323 and Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) was down 1.44% or 47 points to 3220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 349 to 153 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.39% or 5500 to 235500.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.45% or 0.40 to $87.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.32% or 0.29 to hit $88.97 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 8.90 to trade at $1803.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.1706, while EUR/ILS rose 0.24% to 3.5661.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.395.
