Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 5.62% or 181 points to trade at 3400 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 2.50% or 7.8 points to end at 319.9 and Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) was up 2.23% or 217 points to 9927 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 1.83% or 57 points to trade at 3055 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 1.76% or 23 points to end at 1287 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was down 1.50% or 1370 points to 90000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 192 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.33% or 0.16 to $48.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.39% or 0.20 to hit $51.43 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 9.55 to trade at $1902.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.2142, while EUR/ILS fell 0.50% to 3.9307.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 89.858.
