Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG), which rose 4.15% or 1,590.00 points to trade at 39,900.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) added 3.39% or 26.70 points to end at 814.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 1.76% or 550.00 points to 31,850.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 2.53% or 1,830.00 points to trade at 70,470.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.12% or 13.90 points to end at 642.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 1.65% or 62.00 points to 3,700.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 286 to 185 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.59% or 1.40 to $89.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.19% or 1.12 to hit $94.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 6.25 to trade at $1,662.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.64% to 3.51, while EUR/ILS fell 0.39% to 3.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 110.32.
