Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 2.82% or 117.00 points to trade at 4,269.00 at the close. Meanwhile, NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 2.82% or 2,230.00 points to end at 81,290.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 2.78% or 310.00 points to 11,480.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which fell 2.10% or 21.00 points to trade at 963.00 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 1.94% or 2,750.00 points to end at 139,030.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was down 1.94% or 260.00 points to 13,140.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 291 to 174 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.56% or 1.14 to $74.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.34% or 1.05 to hit $79.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 3.15 to trade at $2,026.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.55% to 3.76, while EUR/ILS rose 0.46% to 4.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.04.
