Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 2.44%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 10.51% or 283 points to trade at 2975 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) added 4.04% or 480 points to end at 12370 and Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) was up 3.91% or 267 points to 7087 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shufersal (TASE:SAE), which fell 2.08% or 61 points to trade at 2874 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 0.77% or 80 points to end at 10300 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was up 0.02% or 2 points to 9421.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 389 to 119 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.35% or 0.31 to $89.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.75% or 0.68 to hit $91.46 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 8.75 to trade at $1836.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.2135, while EUR/ILS rose 0.23% to 3.6732.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.485.
