Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.92% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 11.68% or 3690 points to trade at 35270 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 9.71% or 338 points to end at 3818 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 5.10% or 86 points to 1771 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 1.85% or 770 points to trade at 40800 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.34% or 48 points to end at 3542 and Shufersal (TASE:SAE) was down 0.79% or 20 points to 2502.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 192 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.69% or 0.35 to $50.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.63% or 0.34 to hit $54.64 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 6.75 to trade at $1915.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.1807, while EUR/ILS fell 0.47% to 3.9044.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 89.802.
