Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.85% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 6.84% or 422 points to trade at 6595 at the close. Meanwhile, Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) added 4.34% or 155 points to end at 3730 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was up 3.09% or 66 points to 2205 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which fell 0.94% or 1.6 points to trade at 169.0 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 0.09% or 20 points to end at 22480 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 0.12% or 20 points to 16500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 255 to 138 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.09% or 0.05 to $58.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $64.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 8.50 to trade at $1279.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.4861, while EUR/ILS fell 0.16% to 4.1326.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 92.88.
