Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.78%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE), which rose 5.29% or 54.00 points to trade at 1,075.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) added 4.48% or 75.00 points to end at 1,750.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 4.19% or 147.00 points to 3,653.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which fell 0.85% or 620.00 points to trade at 72,010.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 0.71% or 890.00 points to end at 125,000.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 0.63% or 17.00 points to 2,695.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 251 to 229 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.85% or 0.68 to $79.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.97% or 0.84 to hit $85.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 7.10 to trade at $1,922.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.56% to 3.46, while EUR/ILS rose 0.54% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.92.
