Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.74%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 12.26% or 895.00 points to trade at 8,195.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TASE:LUMI) added 8.15% or 256.00 points to end at 3,396.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 6.36% or 740.00 points to 12,370.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 7.79% or 299.00 points to trade at 3,540.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 6.81% or 11,950.00 points to end at 163,450.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was down 4.33% or 2,900.00 points to 64,130.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 371 to 140 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 7.07% or 8.75 to $114.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 7.74% or 9.90 to hit $118.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 2.24% or 45.70 to trade at $1,997.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.98% to 3.26, while EUR/ILS rose 0.59% to 3.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.10% at 97.99.
