Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which rose 7.17% or 10980 points to trade at 164180 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 5.13% or 115 points to end at 2355 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 4.62% or 710 points to 16090 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF), which fell 2.44% or 890 points to trade at 35580 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 1.78% or 380 points to end at 21000 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was down 0.92% or 3.0 points to 324.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 253 to 157 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.31% or 0.15 to $47.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.37% or 0.19 to hit $51.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 4.80 to trade at $1882.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.2151, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 3.9173.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.248.
