Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.97% or 176.00 points to trade at 3,122.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 4.39% or 2,980.00 points to end at 70,800.00 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 4.30% or 2,910.00 points to 70,600.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 2.73% or 850.00 points to trade at 30,320.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.32% or 15.50 points to end at 654.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 2.11% or 118.00 points to 5,480.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 269 to 223 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.32% or 15.50 to 654.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.41% or 0.36 to $88.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.58% or 0.54 to hit $93.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.35 to trade at $1,719.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.53, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 3.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.99% at 112.11.
