Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.51%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 4.04% or 86 points to trade at 2214 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 3.68% or 87 points to end at 2451 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) was up 3.63% or 300 points to 8568 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG), which fell 1.37% or 260 points to trade at 18730 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) declined 0.89% or 32 points to end at 3566 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was down 0.80% or 430.0 points to 53280.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 190 to 182 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) rose to all time highs; rising 3.63% or 300 to 8568.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.99% or 1.51 to $51.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.10% or 1.83 to hit $60.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1229.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.66% to 3.7120, while EUR/ILS fell 0.70% to 4.2096.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.900.
