Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.39% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 4.08% or 190.00 points to trade at 4,849.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 3.98% or 53.00 points to end at 1,385.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 3.65% or 5,470.00 points to 155,490.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which fell 1.83% or 430.00 points to trade at 23,110.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 1.04% or 290.00 points to end at 27,470.00 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) was down 0.71% or 350.00 points to 48,750.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 351 to 132 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.91% or 0.67 to $74.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.76% or 0.60 to hit $79.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 6.05 to trade at $2,046.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.44% to 3.63, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 101.86.
