Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 36.36% or 4040 points to trade at 15150 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 2.87% or 107 points to end at 3840 and Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) was up 2.33% or 77 points to 3386 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 2.85% or 80 points to trade at 2730 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.88% or 61 points to end at 3182 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 1.84% or 2730 points to 145360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 363 to 136 and 31 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.46% or 3.30 to $92.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.21% or 3.10 to hit $93.38 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 18.05 to trade at $1851.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.21% to 3.2162, while EUR/ILS fell 0.84% to 3.6495.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 96.090.
