Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which rose 5.61% or 176 points to trade at 3312 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 4.81% or 122 points to end at 2656 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was up 3.97% or 470 points to 12320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 1.91% or 1010 points to trade at 51810 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 0.56% or 7 points to end at 1249 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 0.55% or 130 points to 23630.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 346 to 171 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.94% or 2.70 to $71.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.45% or 2.47 to hit $73.99 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 7.35 to trade at $1787.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.15% to 3.1630, while EUR/ILS fell 0.20% to 3.5648.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 96.558.
