Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 6.78% or 188 points to trade at 2962 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) added 3.22% or 590 points to end at 18890 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 2.96% or 43.0 points to 1494.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp), which fell 5.44% or 49 points to trade at 850 at the close. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 2.72% or 1290 points to end at 46150 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 2.63% or 1940 points to 71760.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 190 to 185 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.44% or 49 to 850.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.91% or 1.67 to $55.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.81% or 1.75 to hit $60.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 3.00 to trade at $1502.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.5397, while EUR/ILS fell 0.42% to 3.8946.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 98.657.
