Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 11.48% or 202 points to trade at 1962 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 4.54% or 55 points to end at 1266 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 3.73% or 630 points to 17500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 1.14% or 27 points to trade at 2351 at the close. Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) declined 0.98% or 140 points to end at 14080 and Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) was down 0.56% or 60 points to 10700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 316 to 120 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.38% or 0.72 to $52.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.45% or 0.80 to hit $55.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 16.10 to trade at $1866.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.56% to 3.2954, while EUR/ILS fell 0.03% to 3.9813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 90.888.
