Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which rose 2.52% or 1,690.00 points to trade at 68,730.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) added 2.37% or 46.00 points to end at 1,990.00 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was up 2.26% or 78.00 points to 3,530.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 2.13% or 20.00 points to trade at 917.00 at the close. Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) declined 0.95% or 57.00 points to end at 5,970.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 0.90% or 240.00 points to 26,540.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 330 to 168 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.13% or 20.00 to 917.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.65% or 2.70 to $104.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.92% or 2.02 to hit $106.97 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 2.05 to trade at $1,886.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.33, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.06% to 3.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 103.72.
