Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.13% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which rose 3.85% or 73.00 points to trade at 1,967.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) added 3.50% or 52.00 points to end at 1,537.00 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was up 3.45% or 106.00 points to 3,176.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which fell 2.36% or 42.00 points to trade at 1,735.00 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 1.69% or 94.00 points to end at 5,476.00 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) was down 1.64% or 700.00 points to 42,080.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 233 to 213 and 93 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.14% or 2.42 to $74.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.77% or 2.25 to hit $78.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 18.30 to trade at $2,364.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.15% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS fell 1.11% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 104.25.
