Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.00% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 7.98% or 31.9 points to trade at 431.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) added 3.15% or 203 points to end at 6655 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 2.68% or 68 points to 2604 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT), which fell 1.83% or 830 points to trade at 44550 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 1.55% or 138 points to end at 8790 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was down 0.99% or 33 points to 3305.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 287 to 104 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $67.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $74.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.10 to trade at $1196.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.6384, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.2112.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 95.31.
