Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 4.69% or 142 points to trade at 3171 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 4.22% or 28 points to end at 686 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.62% or 2880 points to 82430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which fell 3.86% or 10.0 points to trade at 249.0 at the close. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 2.16% or 1360 points to end at 61640 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was down 2.07% or 390 points to 18420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 211 to 162 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.13% or 1.09 to $52.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.08% or 1.25 to hit $61.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 7.05 to trade at $1343.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.5987, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 4.0591.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.018.
