Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.90% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 6.03% or 273.00 points to trade at 4,800.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 3.00% or 55.00 points to end at 1,889.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 2.53% or 33.00 points to 1,339.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 2.47% or 55.00 points to trade at 2,170.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 1.93% or 139.00 points to end at 7,081.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 1.18% or 140.00 points to 11,750.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 308 to 162 and 66 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $78.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $82.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 14.00 to trade at $2,056.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.57, while EUR/ILS fell 0.49% to 3.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 103.89.
