Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shufersal (TASE:SAE), which rose 6.25% or 170.00 points to trade at 2,890.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) added 4.60% or 389.00 points to end at 8,849.00 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was up 3.41% or 241.00 points to 7,311.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 2.65% or 190.00 points to trade at 6,967.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.62% or 57.00 points to end at 3,454.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was down 1.02% or 120.00 points to 11,660.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 319 to 175 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 6.35% or 6.54 to $96.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 6.29% or 6.72 to hit $100.18 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.58% or 31.05 to trade at $1,929.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.27, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.04% to 3.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.98.
